Eve of the first day

New years eve’s outfit, sequin leggings, black tank top with a little chiffon detail, studded belt and cage heels. I wasn't sure what to wear out, but this was the end result after a lot of fussing,a little different from what I usually wear but its a good change.

Then the 1st day of the new year was spent with family, with….. a fancy dress theme….. which was avoided with this new dress, simply because i wanted to wear it and then just loosely related it to 1940’s gangsters.

These are the American flag shorts mentioned in the post before, they’re from the 80’s … i think…. although as you can see i shortened and ripped the edges. I feel like a typical girl you would see on tumblr……. but to be honest i love this look so much !! I think of it as a summer festival/gig outfit.

It was a friends and also band members 20th birthday,so it was just perfect, a good evening of drinks, laughter, singing and plans for the future. :)

Christmas Madness

Christmas morning i woke early and opened my stocking in bed and then woke everyone else up and went downstairs to open the rest of the presents.

Where under the tree i was very very excited to find and shiny pair of Doc.Martins :)

After breakfast i went upstairs to get dressed and pulled on an outfit I’d worn a couple of weeks ago, but never got photographed. Well i think its just one of those outfits that never will be. I took hundreds of photos and this was about the best…… which clearly says a lot as this photo is awful but i wanted something to show the outfit. Black lace crop top paired with a see through skirt , with a black ‘modesty’ band at the top flowing into a long straight mesh skirt. Its the ‘new favourite.

This is a silly present by brother brought me but its so cute !!

We played a brilliant game at my uncles house, lego sheep sheering HAHA … for 5 year olds of course but it was so much fun !! The simple games are the best sometimes.

Too much chocolate…….. And an afternoon snooze was needed. All the couples in the family were given double slankets. I love it… !!! but clearly I’m a selfish slanketer as i stole it and fell asleep.

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas :) The 4 day madness has ended…… but theres a party tonight !!! ahaha the fun never ends :D

Well, its snowed quite a lot again, although this time it wasn’t welcomed, we broke up from Sixth form on Friday and it started snowing. :(

So I stayed inside and looked out the window longing for it to go away so we could escape up to the Drummers house in Berkshire. Staring out of the window eating lot of chocolate to try and compensate.

Well we got there !!!!!! :D

Not long after our arrival it was time to get down to the serious matter of the trip. Lions tattoo which took 7 long hand squeezing hours, and was completed in one very painful sitting.

And the completed result , covered in savlon so its white and shiny but you can see what it looks like.

I just really hope at the moment we will make it home for Christmas :/

A whole lots of conditioner is going to get me through this

As you’ve seen so many times before my hair is soft and perfectly straight which is so useful day to day but i can get a little boring I've always wanted something with a bit more texture so at the weekend…. we Va –Va-Voomed it a little with curling and backcombing.

The outfit was pretty simple really the days plans just involved casual Christmas shopping and wrapping. So velvet leggings, a new top from lion, and the cage heels i wore for the Prom night.

I’m so happy these little treasures came today, three simple everyday lipsticks from Avon with a cute little twist.

the last day of school is Friday and i really couldn’t be happier…… i have a free first, textiles and then a carol service in a big church which will be nice, i haven't been to a carol service since well… primary school.
Thursday night lion, his parents and me are going to The National Theatre in London to watch Beauty and the Beast, very excited !!
Wednesday night its off to the Local theatre to watch – The mouse who saved Christmas… eheh
Then on Sunday its a trip up to the Drummers house ( boyfriends band) to stay for a couple of days and have a hello of a lot of fun :)

Is anyone else excited for Christmas ?…. i cant believe its next Saturday !!!

A welcoming sparkle

Hello again my old friend, Its been snowing a lot all over England this week and I’ve been thinking of the future but also what i missed and blogging was one of the things i got out of the habit of so its time to revive this space.

The snow levels reached 12 inches !!!!! the most snow I have ever seen.

The kids in the local area have been making huge snow balls, I went out for a walk with Sir L on Thursday just to get out of the house for a while.

Things have changed recently well since the last post, I’m now going to sixth form, studying History, English lit, Sociology and textiles so life's a bit busier than it used to be.

Last night was a very dear and darling friends birthday party, with a fancy dress theme of 1920 flappers and gangsters. It was one of the funniest parties I've ever been too :) most went at the official end of the party but a few stayed late into the night talking which was the best part of the party :D.

Dress completed with a beaded bolero and a string of pearls.

Thick eyebrows in a rounded shape, red bow shaped lips, pin curled hair and eyelashes.

ahaha !! i had the best time dressing up it was so much fun !!! to finish the night a headscarf.

Eden and the death in the Rainforest

Off we went to Eden yesterday in the glorious sunshine.

I picked up the straw boater hat with many others……… the hat obsession continues, complete with a Childs dress and white pumps :)

Day two in sunny wonderland, the day was spent shopping relaxing on the beach listening to L play guitar a walk along the edge of the sea, ice cream Italian dinner seal spotting, singing songs to the seals and an evening walk.

The dress required a Big hat and i think this may have done it

Long time no see ay ! well last week was pretty slow with the last exam but the next ay we hopped in the car at 4 am and arrived in St Ives at 11.30 which is pretty good going.

Sex and the City with a little sparkle of my own

So yesterday I spent the day with my darling mum, having a girls day out, shopping, lunch date, sex and the city 2 and a whole lot of laughter was in the mix for a perfect and lovely day :)

I chose a simple outfit that spoke for itself and was a ‘no fuss’ deal.

Puling my hair up into a messy bun with plaits and a flower hair band .

Shopping loot :D ; bikini's, beach dress, denim shirt, jazz pumps, a bag, and not to mention the lovely ‘little girl’ dress ^^

The History exam today went well as far as i could tell…. meh…. only one more exam to go then the summer really starts !!!

the ‘dress’ is an XL tshirt i asked my auntie and uncle to bring back from New York maybe a year ago… I cut and pinched it in here and there to make a very relaxed tshirt halter neck dress.

The shows its self was pretty amazing.. and organised to a T. It started with a Olden day village fate, a small opening performance with historical context, followed by tours of the Forts tunnels and caves with different performances in each… the idea was brilliant, and a good show is always finished with a song :D

With a formalish but nothing too much interview to attend i pulled on an easy dress at a very early hour in the morning. Looking through the wardrobe for a jacket and found this.. i havnt worn it since it arrived last month but its the perfect thing to liven up the outfit a little.

The shape itself is boxy in the body, but the added interesting is in the gathered sleeves and straight un folded collar.

Lunch was well……… very modern office womany.. witha pre prepared boxed salad…. starbucks and the accompaniment of a blackberry :p it made me giggle… so i thought to share it….

Off to a gig in the evening looking suitably like a groupie,… i have found a love for hold up tights ^^ so very teenage grunge whore….. oui oui,,, but hey the stereotypes can be good :P

Although they are already in practice and im meeting them at the studio’s for the last hour or so… i hate finding places by myself… and the instructions were…. after the gate turn right until you find a tardis and a helicopter…… turn right and its somewhere after that :s… gahhhhhh !!!! I just went over to L’s today to relax and enjoy simple company and not needing to do anything.

I’ve been waiting all week to wear this baby….. the perfect grunge shirt, so effective but ohh so comfy and lazy to wear :P

It cuts high at the sides,… but hangs nicely at the bottom…….

Well today was the official last day of school.... YESSS !!
although they werent going to let is go without ruining it first,... i had two science exams this morning... and they left year 11 go during the first one... so who ever was in the exam.. missed the leaver assembly.. and the photo's and tshirt signing.... charming... real charming... but thats enough of that... i have 3 exams left but i have already in my mind got rid of that place and good riddence... i spent the evening really really thoroughly tyding my room, getting rid of anything with little meaning to me anymore..

I'll probably paint it in the next week,.... Also iI have a Netbook !!!! :D blogging on the go.. ohhh yes... !!!

Runaway from the world with me ?

Well hello there,
its been a while i know.... i shall tell you why my darling so sit back pour a cup of tea and get settled...
Life has been interesting, funny, mad, upsetting draining and surprising lately,i think i've been through every emotion imaginable in a single week... and its ONLY Thursday !! :O
I spent the weekend madly working away constantly trying to finnish the prep work needed for the Art exam on Monday.... Monday came around and the actual exam was fine.. just sitting in a silent room for 5 hours... really starts to make you mad... i was fine ... really tired but otherwise fine Monday night,,
Tuesday rolls in with three hours of normal art work.. but she still kept us quite and very busy.... a followed by 2 hours of science... the first hour with a woman who thinks putting you in groups and telling you to ' just revise' will produce some effective learning ~_~.... the second hour was better we had a young male teacher who's always a laugh.. we took bacteria swabs in aggar jelly... he said to find the weirdest thing which im not sure is good for our class.. it ended up with peoples noses, belly buttons, someones pants,,,.... ohhh deary me...

Then on Tuesday night i was a little over tired and emotional... i planned to hide under the covers and disappear from the world for a couple of hours... so i text L and he talked for a while and was like brb got to do something... and being emotionally wacked. i was like pssssshhh fiiiiiinnnneeeee.... 20 minutes later.. the door bell rings... ^^ with him waiting on the door step out of breathe a little as he had run from 2 towns away ... ahhhh i can even explain how excited i was.... <3

Then the boring 5 hours of art again Wednesday.... sigh,,... today being Thursday.
.. shouldnt be too bad.... but still.... why ohh why isn't it Friday afternoon already.

If you read all of that well done.. i shall give you a gold star..... the suitcase was a surprise present from my parents last week ^^

Quick ramble then off out....

The outfit was needed for a semi styled lazy day, watched kick ass which i must say is hilarious and very entertaining,not to mention the 12 year old girl is epic!

I recently watched Almost Famous, its a cult film and im like the last person on the world to see it but, its about a young boy dreaming of becoming a rock journalist, and he makes it one day goes on tour with a band, writes for the rolling stone magazine and all the mad things that happen on tour. Its definitely up there in the top 5 films for me :D So todays outfit is my sorry attempt at modern 70's inspired.... maybe ? :S

its been a super loonnnng week at school, revision timetables, ofsted inspections, course work deadlines the usual rubbish.

The weather is starting to warm up which is a major plus, but oddly i miss the rain.... or maybe its just a wanting for warm days... of sunshine and fun flowed by the brooding clouds and evening rain refreshing the days joy :)

I just threw on this dress, white knee high socks and black heels and felt like an imitation school girl :0 ahahah

High tea

This weekend has been immense, it hard to find words fitting for how lovely it has really been. Friday was my dads birthday on St Georges day, so we had the family around for cake jelly and ice cream. The last two are a family tradition and a riot breaks out if there isn't any jelly and ice cream...... On Saturday we all got dressed up and went to the Spa hotel for high tea. The hotel is often used for weddings and is beautifully furnished and decorated setting the perfect atmosphere for tea and cakes. As per usual everyone was armed with a camera to catch every moment, photographs are so important at capturing the magic in the day.

The dress and bag are from Beyond Retro, my nan dated the dress to be from the sixties.... ^^ Quick change and then out again to a birthday house party, which could not have been better, i knew all of 2 people well and another 2 i had met once but it really didnt matter it was one of the best I've ever been too. Some how my shoe ended up hanging from the ceiling light :s.... I didnt manage to get any outfit photos :(. I wore a black slim fitting tshirt dress, tights and brogues.

This morning poured with rain.. and i almost thought the plans had been ruined for the afternoon but soon the sun came out and it was a very nice warm sunny day. Two friends wanted to build up a portfolio so me and another firend = 4 trecked off into the woods to take photos and then down to the park for grass shots. I've never had so much fun, but its exhuasting. I shall post the results when i can get ahold of them..,.. Now back to the hard slog of school... not long left :/

A long time in distant weather

Its been a week... well more... i know... my promise was broken.. but i have lived life.. with stories to tell so its not the biggest crime. In terms of reality i dropped off the face of the planet for two weeks.. and life could not have been any better.

There's been house party's in a freddy from skins style shed, Sunday afternoon dinner with french company followed by a trip to the sea, hat obsessions, style revelations,head making and autopsy in the form of Josephine ( read below) , Tea and cake at grandma's, injections followed by ickyness of colds and coughs, London adventures, beyond retro heaven and a little tweeting in between.All shared with my darling and wonderful L :D.

All of that and yet not alot of work... ehehe so i went out today and took pictures for art and gathered inspiration to crack on this evening and get something done.

I picked this outfit up on Oxford street two days ago, i saw the tshirt and fell in love... well it is a curly mustache after all but they only had a size 14 and not my usual 10 but i decided the shape of it and being a crop tee i would get away with it but it worked out rather nicely. Layered over a pair of high waisted vintage lavender shorts picked up from beyond retro.
I have been enlightened to the vintage world, no longer longing over Etsy with high prices i can rummage and search for my self at a really decent price.I picked up really 1930's inspired pretty dress and bag which shall be unveiled next Saturday for my dads 50th birthday.

I didnt take the tripod with me today, i was being a chicken and didnt think i was up to taking photos in public on my own :/ but i wish i had just taken it anyway. Instead i used my bad and bench arms, low walls and tree stumps to prop the camera up and all in all it didn't turn out to badly.

My new hat obsession spark a little creativity, true art class style I covered a polystyrene head in cling film and mud rock. Painting her up to be a fine 1930's flapper.

Birthday sun glory

I do believe spring has arrived at last..... a little late but i shan't moan.. its funny how obsessed you can get about the state of the weather....
Today is my brothers birthday so i wanted to look half put together but casual, i threw on this dress and realised its what i wore for my birthday ^^ . Clothing can be so nostalgic at times..

This morning i just ran a few errands, picked up a pretty dress and this hat ^ it was immensely cheap.... I spotted it walking out of the shop and knew it would be perfect.... now considering going back and picking up a few of them to last the summer....

The sun has been out and its relatively warm with a slight chill to the air, so sitting in the garden with the record player and orange juice felt good... with a little friend to keep me company.

Poke the flowers

The family all went out for my granddads birthday to walk around a large garden, it was beautiful and enchanting...

And of course with my mum there i managed to get some pretty amazing outfit backgrounds and photos.

I wanted the outfit to be cute... but also practical so i pulled on the dress layered up a few tshirts under and a pair of thick tights and a new present of the socks, they blend in with the boots. From an art view i kept thinking the frills were framing the grey tights :P

Birthday Boy

The garden was so pretty a river ran the length of it with small lakes, waterfalls, bridges and streams surrounded by blossoming tree's and budding flowers.

My grandad took my hand and lead me over to the tree stump, i hadn't really noticed it.. but wow.. it was so pretty standing there with the wind brushing past, the photo didn't turn out too bad either :D
again... we were being silly in the flowers and he pulled down a branch above my head for a photo... ahhh... :D

It was an amazing day to be honest, relaxing pretty and funny....

Im off to harass my mum to play Wii just dance with me... ehehehe...... ^^

Long time no...... well posts really ... ready for the excuses....... i shall keep them short, end of term school madness. I do grovel and so on and so forth. :P

You'll never guess what.... today's EASTER !!!!!! :D yaaaaaaaaayyyyy fluffy chickens and chocolate for all !! ahhh how i love Easter it marks the beginning of great weather and fun times :D

I am very pleased to showcase this beauty , the top was a present from my darling... who says he ' isnt good with clothes and dosnt know what he is doing' but as you can see its clearly lies :P bahaha so yes i saved the top for something decent and as the proposed plan for today was a walk along the coast to see the sea it seemed like a good time to break it out. In my mind it needs a high waisted pair of dark wash denim shorts but alas, i have yet to find a decent pair and the weather wasnt exactly 'shorts' weather so i shall put that idea on the back burner for now...

Nothing like a pair of bunny ears 'eh.... :D to compliment the wonderful chocolat 'bunnies...

The walk was delightful, fresh sea air tangling in your hair, seagulls swooping above with the sea lashing around threatening to creep over the walls.... not to mention the little coves and door ways set into the rocks perfect for picture posing :)

And then a coffee...
Ahhhhh i do love this time of year.... although a little more sun and bright skies would be adored.....:P

The weekends been pretty relaxed nothing major to report back, we went to see Alice in Wonderland , it was good....... but not as intense as i thought it was going to be, it lacked a big POW! i guess. Not giving too much away but Johnny Depp was amazing.... hilarious as always and totally mad...
Alice's dress changed every time she grew and shrank it was perfect ! each design prettier than the other brilliant idea :) !

I must admit, im quite excited for Easter ! ^^
Pretty chicken rabbit and lamb shaped toys and banners, colourful eggs, ribbon and Easter bonnets.
I caught a cold over the weekend.... so snuggling in bed with tea reading blogs has been the days order. Not long till the Easter holidays and a break from the madness of school.... looking forward to it :D

The simple air contrating hearts desire

Last night had been eagerly anticipated for a while now... L was in a Shakespeare production ^^, I can honestly say the loving intent had not been stronger.

I couldn't decide what to wear, it wasn't quite warm enough to wear a dress and bare legs and I'm sick of tights :( so i went for jeans. I never feel well presented in jeans, the just don't do it for me, but with little details they were passable. With a white soft tank that was not the most exciting paired with a piece my grandma brought me as a birthday present years ago, Its so delicate and pretty I've been scared to wear it. It appeared from the wardrobe with the tags attached.

Both plays were amazing, for a young adults production it was intense, gripping, funny and at times heart warming, all together an amazing evening. After a relaxing snooze, my brother came over and we gave mum her presents and ate breakfast together, then after a while we got ready and went to my Grandparents house for Dinner with the rest of the family.

Its in those speacial hours when you relaise how great life really is, i love sitting around a large table in the warmth of my grandents house with everyone you've known all your life, laughing ,joking and telling stories of their day.

Friday at last !!
and a day off too.... woooh !! :)
The parents were off to Ikea today and as i had a day off school i thought I'd tag along... Ikea's always fun. I adore how all the rooms are set up and even the cupboards are full, they had put a hair of brogues in one of the wardrobes !! ^^
One of my favorite rooms was a living room set up, but it was blatantly designed to be my bedroom :P , soft pastel pinks and white, tiny floral paper, white desk, laptop , pretty lamps and a large book shelf. Its kind of spurred me on to get on and re paint my room, the white isn't looking as white anymore :S.

Todays outfit choice is pretty simple, grey ruffle tunic top, leggings, boots, grey waterfall jacket layered with a tweed jacket.

With all the lace and ruffles going on around the neck a necklace was either lost or too over powering so layered bracelets and a mens watch was the choice.

Am I not the only person that instantly thinks.. Wow.... amazing shoe cupboard ? ahahah it would be perfect for show casing a fine collection of shoes.... ahhhh one day maybe. :D

Sunny Day Romance

Yesterday felt like spring had just begun to arrive the sun filtered through a wide bright blue sky speckled with cloud , the chill in the air keeping the small flowers from blooming but it was just so beautiful !
We strolled through the prettiest and one of the oldest towns around taking photos, giggling and soaking up the sun. I am so excited for the weeks ahead. Although today's weather is back to the way it was :(

I have to congratulate L for finding the best photo opportunities .... looking forward to a better way of taking photos.

Today was a bit blah... i had a migraine so stayed in watching Breakfast t Tiffanys sleeping and drinking tea,

On a sixth form update I have been offered a place at the first school !!! YAY !!!!!!!! I'm so relieved it is mt first choice school so happy that ill be going there in September :D .
The other great thing is that the school doesn't have a uniform, all that is asked is a decent level of dressing and not too much skin = pretty much anything goes :D ... daily blogging here we come !!

I think I'm winning the worst blogger in the world prize at the moment. I really adore working on the blog there just hasn't been enough hours in the day lately, yesterday and today has been intense we just finished the 10 hour mock exam for gcse art. It went well and surprisingly fast I've been cramming in as much prep work as possible over the last week and then in the last two days it was the final painting. Tonight i have crammed for a Biology exam tomorrow.... what fun :P The next couple of months are going to be pretty hectic so posting might be a little sporadic and for that i am sorry :(

On Thursday of last week I had another sixth form interview for my preferred choice the girls Grammar school. It went really well from what I can tell . The woman so so friendly and chatty I didn't even think to be nervous, all my subjects fit into the time table and she said that there would be no issues with my entry so its just waiting for the letter to arrive with the final dicision now..... Three sixth form girls gave me and my mum another tour of the school which was pretty fun and it was surprising how easy it was to laugh along and join in their conversation. All in all it went well and if i get in, which i reeaaaalllly hope i do i think it will be a good place to be for the next two years.

Inspiration has been lacking in the clothing department unfortunately lately. The sun has just begun to peak out and its not in the minus numbers temperature wise aymore. A new wardrobe would be really really nice full of lovely new things but it might have to wait alittle while for the money to roll in. :(

Its the trend of the season which i useually avoid like the plague but the floral pastel flower in the hair, pearl necklace whimsical trend is floating my little boat at the moment...

And for a random fact.... i was talking about my hair with the bf.... and he loved it long... as i have no opinion on it either way.. it looks like it will be growing over the next couple of months :P

This weekend has been amazing... crazy, loving and completely different from my life 2 weeks ago. The change has been good and I never want it to go back to the way it was before. Thursday me and L, jumped on a train to London and spent the day jumping on and off the underground, visiting Oxford street, Denmark street, Camden, Trafalgar square, Leicester square, china town.. you name it we went there in all honesty. It was so much fun !! Oxford street was a dream but I think my favorite part of the day was the trip to Denmark Street, its a short road just filled to the brim with music/ guitar shops, L played in a couple of them and blew everyone away.... :)

Then Last night was a friends 18th Birthday Party, Which was also a blast ! cheesy dancing with everyone, meeting L's friends hanging out with the girls, laughing, smiling, singing and dancing in heels the whole night.. We skipped back to mine house and just crashed. Spending the whole of today in bed... catching up on sleep.

Time was running out before we had to leave , it then wasnt bright enough to take the photos in my room ... flash was to stark .... too many shadows... . ohhhh the drama of cameras :P
One day left of freedom....... although i have a pretty fun first day back at school after half term, a small group are out on a visit to a local University. The trips are always fun :D

This weeks been pretty busy, in all honesty i havnt done alot to count for , tuesday art coursework then the bf stayed round, yesterday we went out for lunch and a walk in the sun then back to his for films. Waking up to see the sun and a blue sky was really refreshing and heart warming, to know that the sun does actually exsist under the constant cover of grey cloud. In the morning it was accceptable to wear just a cardigan but it grew colder as the day went on :(

Today its back to grey skys, cold wind and rain.....

The plan for today is to head off to london to browse the shops, look at guitars and spend sometime in an amazing city. Have a fun week :)

Well for the first time in a long time i have someone to devote the day to. The plan for today is to lay around watching films and cuddling.He's currently wrapped up in the covers fast asleep with the most adorable expression.

The outfit choice is pretty simple but effective , tuxedo shirt and pink tights speak for themselves.

Why is it that when ever a camera is out the cats appear , even in gardening programs theres always a cat somewhere in frame.
Even if you don't have your prince charming yet, just remember he is on his way, probably stuck in life's traffic. Hold on, there's always someone who loves you.x

The morning started well, a nice lay in for a few hours more than a normal Tuesday morning, then a slow, semi-calm getting ready. The boyfriend came round to meet the parents last night , it went surprisingly well, the parents played their usual cool-ness and nothing embarrassing or scary to report back. Around ten some friends came over briefly and then we drove them home.. so i never got into bed until 11.30. eeeek ahah i needed all sleep i could get the the first real interview of my life, a sixth form interview for a boys grammar school ( girls are accepted for sixth for if you were wondering :P)

A poised and professional look was the aim, but no grey... none at all. It seems so dull for professional events. A spark of personality but nothing too much was what i decided with a trusty LBD and a h&m blouse.

I walked into the waiting room and my best friend was still sitting there waiting, 30 minutes behind her original timing. It was reassuring seeing a familiar face and we distracted each other from the nervous situation. The head master interviewed me, as they were running behind, he wasn't prepared for it but it went well as far as i can tell. He was a very relaxed man and spoke softly, a little like a granddad :D. He said he recognised my face from the open evening.... :s hopefully that isn't a bad thing. But after a few reassuring compliments and chat the interview finished. I feel like it went well but its a waiting game for now.

Starting life in a new way..

Firstly i would like to apologise for less than sufficient photos and the lack of updates, moving on..
I was so undecided about what to wear yesterday, the plans were a cinema date in the early afternoon then going on to the party together, so the outfit needed to be warm, comfortable and casual/pretty. Kind of a creativity killer, im longing for spring, when its warm enough to throw on a cardigan over a summer's dress and roll with it.

We watched Youth in revolt ...... i wouldn't recommend it... geek falls in love with a girl, she likes and boys he does everything he can in an unfunny way to be bad.....

On the plus side it was a lovely day followed by a very amusing and fun party, i met so many new people, old friends new partners and... well got one of my own... :)

Hm.... now wonderland is over back to the coursework ~_~ have a good week .

The refreshing chill

The week dragged and time seemed to stop, it was frustrating.. and i was in a bad mood and really agitated all week. Life feels very suffocating at the moment, it isn't going anywhere fast.. and im running out of patience. Well that's what i felt until Friday night after school. I came home and changed quickly, opening a firm white envelope to find i have a sixth form interview in February for my first choice school, im so excited its the first step to the future.

The plans for the night were a gathering at a fun and ultimately very cool friends house.. ;D. We chatted, laughed sang danced , jammed to some pretty sick guitar skills, gossiped, told secrets and had a real ' teenage' time. I really needed it to be honest, everything is all happy and peppy again.
Ahahaha although in true form i slept for only an hour between 6 to 7 this morning :P.

The outfit wasn't about how well composed it looked or what labels, just warmth and practicality, Its good to dress my age for once.... as i guess we all get lost in chasing the 'fashion' image, simplicity is best at times. I adore this tshirt its so cute!

I went a head with it , barely 20 minutes after the post i was in the bathroom with a pair of scissors. Im really pleased with how it turned out... hopefully i keep it for the summer as the style works better with floaty dresses shorts and sunglasses, modern 1930's is what i was thinking ...

My parents had a trip planned to go to Canterbury this afternoon, so off we went in the bitter cold and my whiny tiredness but it was fun.
It was far too cold for anything i wanted to wear :( so i cobbled together this preppy number. I thrifted this jumper a week or two back, its perfect for snuggling and keeping warm. I failed at pictures but you get the idea.
I picked up 2 random Vinyls because the covers were cute, £3 for both, not the ridiculous £15 for one that the record shops are charging ~_~ not cool.
From h&m i picked up two tops and a pair of sunglasses, which i am wearing now .... in my room.... in the dark... ahahah, but hey they're cute. I shall take pictures of my findings for tomorrows post... im being pathetic and blaming tiredness for my lack of anything other than drinking tea and blogsurfing. Off for some tea and biscuits i belive.... have a good night x

Hmm..... Hmmmmm.... i think i need your help.... my mind changes about my hair.. faster than the wind. I love it long but its just too fine it ends up looking ratty, i'm not aloud to Dye it.. the shcool dosnt allow it... So im thinking of hacking it all off ???

Ive thought about what if i dont like it :o but i then though well my hair grows very quickly so i wouldnt have to put up with it for too long.

The outfit of choice for the tea party, the date had to be moved due to the snow, but it was so much fun !!

We ate cupcakes and sweets and biscuits and giggled and laughed for hours, definitely the way a tea party should be.

The tea cup were my great grandma's but they're getting pretty old now.

helllooooo... last night was the Sixth form opening evening at the boys school, but in an attempt to look my best i ran out of time to take photos... but it was a re-work outfit posted before.. But the evening was pretty good he school was relaxed,ambitious and welcoming.. you got the sense you would do well there..

Tonight is my preferred choice of school the girls grammar school... so it shall be interesting...

Professional but fun... was the idea... to be honest jeans and a tshirt would have been fine... but i cant roll like that :P

This skirt arrived today its pretty cool.... i could be pulled down making it longer but i pulled it higher and tightened the belt to make it paper bag-esque.

This pretty dress arrived yesterday... making the perfect post for today. Ive been killing time all day, its a friends birthday 'party' today, all the girls are descending on her house and staying the night... Wii completions, guitar hero, films, sweets madness and giggles. Im so excited :D
It rained pretty much non stop making it feel really cold and blah..... but the light was pretty pretty over the bed.

I felt like a 60's doll in the dress, its quite short, the chiffon leads down to a bubble hem... surprisingly flattering.... So excuse the cheesiness of this photo :P

This is my favorite photo from today, its hard to see the dress so i left it until last but lighting is perfect... hmm... more experimental.. poses and lighting is my aim for the year.. rather than just standing there posing.

The lack of outfit posting is due to the start of school again :( first full week back and i already have a GCSE exam.... booo !! so im busy cramming as much as i can about... meiosis ... mitosis... phenotypes and genotypes......

This is the lovely message on the mirror i came down stairs to this morning :D, today is my sixteenth birthday YAY !! :D

It has snowed heavily for the past two days so yesterday and today were snow days, perfect present from the ever joyless English weather... i shall moan no more.

Today really has been the best day, i haven't done an awful lot, opening presents, dancing, smiling all day :D.

I wanted to feel pretty and doll- like but yet comfortable, the dress is from asos aggggggggges ago, ive been saving it for the summer but it seemed like the right time to bust it out and tie a striped ribbon around ?

I am so lucky, my nan gave me this gorgeous pink bag, it so big but soft of it isn't bulky and in the way all the time. Its the perfect bag for a shopping day to throw all the usual rubbish in and extra goodies.

The yummy cake, sprinkles, vanilla icing and 16 candles just the way i like it :D

On the related cake theme my mum makes cards and scrapbooks, this card is Amazing !! aha i had to use the panoramic setting on my new toy to fit it all in :P

TA DA !! this is my main present, its s Fuji Finepix s1500, its a hybrid of a normal digital and an SLR.. its exactly like an SLR without the changeable lenses.. which im not sure i would have use for anyway. Its so small perfect for the handbag with so many amazing settings, the panoramic setting is perfect it leaves a shadow from the last photo so you can line up the next section. There is also another setting for softening and making the skin look beautiful , aha what does it not have :D ....

The missing voice...

The new year has been good in 5 days it feels like it will be a good year.

Saturday was spent in the much loved company of friends, some new comers and then the old timers ;P. new friendships were made for the long haul. We watched Sherlock Holmes in the Cinema...... it was good.... except the fact that it was so long by the end you had forgotten what happened in the beginning. I opened a bottle of cherry fanta which sky rocketed spraying everywhere..... lets just say it earned us a few ' disproving looks' through screams of laughter. I forgot to take an outfit post that night, so i do apologize.
The rings picked up on Monday.

Monday , time ran away and i didnt have time to take an outfit post, i know excuses, excuses i shall stop trying to quell the quilt with them. My wife ( best friend) and i trolled around bluewater for the day sales shopping, gossiping and giggling, the day was good but tiring. At lunch time i made an expedition down to the cupcake stall and picked up my first ' real' cupcake, red velvet of course. ^^
yum....

Today i've just lounged around in warm comfy clothing ( pj's) finnishing off what art course work i can before school tomorrow :P. Sewing fabric roses in between With three days till my birthday I'm quickly putting together a jacket for the tea party the day after. Pictures will be posted with more details explained .

An SLR camera is at the top of my wish list so that i don't have to borrow my mums all the time, in the hope i can put more blogposts up :) This post is a little ramble of the last couple of days, school starts tomorrow so posts may slow down until i can post at the weekends :(. Happy New Years !!! i hope you had a wonderful time celebrating ;). I stayed in with the parents watching Jools Holland's Hootenanny like usual, quite but cosy. Earlier in the evening we watched Public Enemy , well lets just say.... Johny Depp and Christian Bale..... as 1930's Gangsters do i need to go on... The film was really good, i fawned over the fashion and the round sunglasses, now scouring Etsy for a pair. :)

I never make new years resolutions but i do make plans for the next year... and starting today, i'm trying to be more open and creative with fashion and to take better blog photo's :p
The skirts something i picked up in Primark at the beginning of the week it was really cheap , the lantern shape was what caught my attention but the fabric is really differnt its like a ruffled satin with small squares of glittery thread sewn in to it ??? :S

Today's been a pretty silly and fun day, the grandparents popped in this morning for a spot of tea and we went to see Where The Wild Things Are ... it's a really good film, the monsters look so realistic. The film had a deep emotional story line laced in.... im not really sure younger children would have enjoyed it as much as we did . :D

Rainy day normality

Today has been a really lazy day so far, reading blogs,finding new style inspiration in the Satorialist book. I received the Babyliss heated roller's for Christmas , my hair is naturally very sleek, thin and straight, it sounds ideal but I get bored of it quickly. The heated rollers create really soft shiny natural looking curls its perfect for day time. I secretly longed for them just to sit with the rollers in, the iconic image of rollers is very pretty.

Big soft bouncy curls :) a simple out fit for a very blah.,.... day blue shirt dress long grey cardigan with thick knit tights, black mary jane style heels just out of shot. My mum was bored of being cooped up in the house so offered to browse the shops, well i wasn't going to say no......

I hadnt intened to buy anything but these shoes chose me ,

I call them the Dolly shoes, they look very Luella and Miu Miu -ish. A peachy tan patent, heel with pretty bows.

They were originally priced at £28 in Next but reduced to £13.99 in the sale but when i danced off to the till with them they came out at £9.37 ^^ so very justified.

The last day of christmas

Today we drove to my Aunties house to spend the third day of Christmas relaxing eating giggling and enjoying the prolonged festivities. I really wasn't sure what to wear today, and in all honesty anything would have been fine but i felt the need to make a effort even if it was only a small one. Ive been lusting over " Paper bag" styled trousers skirts and shorts, anything with the pleated waistband so i tied to quickly knock something together to resemble the style.

ehehe... i ' borrowed' my brother silk tie to use as a belt ;D

Such a fun and loving day... so tired..... and hung over on sugar and chocolate.... yuck !.... no more no more !

Boxing Day joys and fun!

Today we all descended upon my uncles new house for Boxing Day celebrations, another day of Christmas, Yay for family warmth and laughter with more presents booo! to more food :p. I have officially eaten for the year in the last two days..... But there's another day of Christmas madness tomorrow :o.. ^^

A simple outfit of a black shift dress coloured tights , purple wedge heels and a pearls, there's something so captivating and yet unoriginal about a black shift dress i always feel like Audrey Hepburn or a higher society 1960's Mod.

So... a soft beehive with let down hair, softly defined lids, thick winged eyeliner, added eyelashes to the bottom and a soft pink lip finished the look.

Update upon the flowering Orchid, this morning it had almost fully opened. I am slightly bemused by how quickly it has happened.

The family shot , looking at the picture the relaxed poses comfortable smiles and warm yellow light really does sum up how beautifully joyous the day has been. EEE !! also i was given The Satorialist's Book EEEE !!! ^^ , new styles shall be developed for the new year ;D.

I have had the most wonderful Christmas day at home, usually we go to my grandparents with the whole family on Christmas but this year it was more relaxed just the intimidate family over for the day with my brother and his girlfriend staying tonight to commence Reed family madness for boxing day tomorrow.
I completely forgot to take an outfit picture this is about as close as it got, its not terribly inventive , the dress is comfortable yet presentable, with stripey slipper socks :P

This year i had not asked for 'THE big present' of the year I simply desired things with history, creativity and real feeling. Being a super lucky girl I recived a 1960's Fidelity two tone suit case record player...... and boy is it love. Its beautiful to have the music so physically and being able to really feel it.

Macro shot of The Kings Of Convience vinyl my dad picked out , Im always so glad when he sends music suggestions my way as their always so good ! Its kind of cool my music taste has been handed down.

I woke up quite early ( to be honest i didnt really sleep that much :P) and opened a beautifully wrapped stocking and the day continued in a magical way from there on.

I played around a little with my mums DSLR camera when dinner was cooking, taking random shots of things around.

Merrily awaiting for the festivities to begin, yesterday was the last day of school, as usual it was a half day so went went home at 12 after three joyful hours of art, all in all it was a good morning.
The afternoon was spent wrapping presents ready to deliver today, although its so cold and icy outside i might need to borrow Santa's sleigh.

The lighting was awful yesterday so i do apologise for the way the photo's have come out. This dress is hmmm...... the cut of it doesn't seem to sit right and its not the most flattering.. but i wear it for the spinning and twirling effect.

The Icey Team....

The cold weather is still here, all the snow has been squashed down into ice, but the last bits and pieces of Christmas shopping had to be done. I went with my parents shopping but departed to wander around and window shop, walking to Waterstones i strolled past a guy with a double Bass and another man on an acoustic guitar merrily singing out rockabilly folk tunes with great energy, the man in the shop was trying to not dance along but secretly wiggling his way down the isle :D. The little things that you notice really do make the difference.

Today was an indecisive day.... so i threw on all my favorite things, vintage Ralph Lauren cardigan, H&M trousers and Primark boots. Although the boots weren't the most practical thing to wear a few ice skating moment occurred.

Snow day cupcakes, the icing was supposed to be a light sky blue, but adding it to the butter frosting turned into a really pretty sea foam green colour. I think everyone in the house ( only three of us :/ ) are getting sick of them now though :P ahah...

hm...... I've noticed people on twitter talking about New Years resolutions, I've never really made them before, i don't see the point of promising to not do something just because its expected, it should be done on the person's own will.... anyway not the point.... i think for next year i will try and experiment with more interesting outfits and develop my personal style more... and re paint my room... Its plain white at the moment which is perfect for pictures... but it needs something extra.

Well Hello there.... long time no see..
I'm so sorry i haven't posted in so long, it's been a busy time with school, but..... you'll never guess what ! IT SNOWED so much last night its around 10 - 15 cm... i know it doesn't sound like alot but for England its amazing !!! so woop woop !! no school :D

This is the beautiful top I picked up in H&M, its pretty sheer and I should probably wear something under it when going out but today's weather has been awful so i stayed in to sew. H&M's clothes are cut so beautifully, the fit the size they are supposed to be, Im not sure this top could be any better, its perfect.

To go with the feel of the top the trousers are also from H&M, slim fitting check wool trousers . They pretty much go with everything , they're so soft and comfortable, definitely a staple piece.

My mum surprised me last week with these pretty wellies , pretty and colourful for the drab day.
hmm... hopefully the week is more interesting... we shall see

Lost in a world that speaks of the truth

An amazing friend of mine [ thank you so much if your reading this !!] Lent me the box set of a 90's TV show called My So Called Life, she said it related to how our lives used to be.. and well are. I watched the first episode Monday night and it is all I've have thought, watched and dreamed about the whole week.

So how can i describe a whole TV series too you... hmm. well I'd say that its about a girl called Angela who is in high school with her two best friends, Rayanne the wild and free spirited girl and Ricky the bisexual finding himself amongst society. Angela dreams about and slightly obsesses over Jordan Catalano { a very young gorgeous Jared Leto} . It follows her life each episode, but the story conveys a powerful message each time that no matter where you are in your life you can relate and connect with at least one episode. Its so enlightening and at the same time entertaining. I'm hooked and could not write enough to praise it but i wouldn't want to spoil it for you.

Tuesday trip involved a trip to Bluewater , i picked up a cute pair of skinny check trousers and a sheer blouse with bow, photo's coming soon, but I'm so sad the camera battery died so i never manged to take an outfit post :(

The plan for the weekend is to cram as much Art coursework in as possible and still remain alive, and I've started a little project of fabric roses maybe to cover a jacket but i would need millions, hmmm... well it will be a rose covered something, show you soon.

welll..... no not quite as i would need a beloved and a couple of years on my name first. My GCSE Art class took a trip to London to the Horiman Museum on Tuesday, not much to report, it had an interesting variety of displays and was a pleasant day. Strolling through the entrance and up the hill this ornate beautiful building came into sight.

The tour guide mentioned that it was available to hire for weddings and various mumbles of wtf... and why...... could be heard through out the class, but I'd already fallen in love.... its so beautiful.

Its a Victorian conservatory, but as Mr Horniman himself was a Tea merchant i call it the tea house.
Just imagine photos with the whole family in front of the door, the kissing couple in the door way, lanterns and bunting laced around inside, pastel table cloths with flowers . Its my vision to get married here, silly i know... as its years and years way but its good to know your options right ?

Morning , *yawn* we dragged ourselves out of bed to leave the house at 9 to be on the road to my grandparents house. Ive been reading a book called ' What would Audrey do?' its a biography of her life highlighting the things that made her successful and happy in life. Today's outfit is well.... Audrey styled but my own take on it.The black shift dress with the black silky shirt from h&m , coloured tights and frilled heels. The mess up-do was my attempt at trying to make it more casual.

These shoes are so cute ! I picked them from Primark last week for an absurdly cheap price, they feel vintage in a way, the dusty rose colour, low heel and from frills.

The Hidden Meaning

Today's weather is mild, very windy and overcast with a likely hood of raining judged by the colour of the sky. So overall a meh... not very pleasant day, okay but not great. Ive found lately a slight interest in jeans again it could just be the cold weather but jeans never interest me , they're just... there. Hm.... im never satisfied with them no matter how much Ive tried to 'dress' them up. I purchased a lovely vintage Ralph Lauren cardigan from estsy last week sometime and it came yesterday, I was amazed the seller lives in America and it usually takes a week or two but flew along. i couldn't wait to wear it so today's outfit revolved around the cardigan and boots and everything else is there to pull it together.

EEEEE !!!! its perfect. The preppy stripes around the wrist, the crest and embellished buttons.
These boots are the ones i picked up in Primark last week, they were so cheap , i love the pretty cuffed top with button detailing, the puffed leg and small heel = the comfiest boots ever. I shuffled off down to the town this afternoon to investigate a record shop that opened up a while ago. It was as you would imagine an Aladins cave of records ^^ heaven. I spotted a couple of Joy Division , Nirvana, Led Zeppelin ,Doors, the list goes on. With the £10 stashed away in my purse and most of the records being £12- 15 i went by band and then what i could get then and there. Behold my first record, The Smiths- The Queen is dead.

This is amazing, scratched into the inner rim it says 'Them was roteen days"

And on the other side " Fear of Manchester".
I showed my dad and he was like' OHhhhhhhhh cool," apparently the guys who made the vinyls scratched a little message into each vinyl. I cant wait to go back, i would spend hours in there, if the man let me I'd live there :P

Oh...... ahaha I havnt mentioned this I've always wanted a record player, i life for music (cliche i know) and ive got an Ipod and had several generations but it dosnt have the same electric feeling as hearing the music openly. Records are as close as you can get to it being live. So i waited and shopped around looking for the one..... specifically one in a case around the 50's- 60's era. A couple of months ago flicking through Ebay i found the one... and it was pretty cheap for the excellent condition , my parents brought it for my Christmas present and have stashed it away. Im so excited for Christmas to come so i can play with it. ^^

Children in need.....

Today being children in need day, we had a tag day at school where you wear your own clothes and pay £1 to charity. Sounds nice...... but fussing over an outfit that's "right" isn't all that fun. I'm all for being yourself and expressing it, never letting anyone else change that but for school that kind of goes out the window. I chose something simple but still showed a little personality and the killing stone..... practicality.

Dark indigo skinny jeans, printed grey cardigan and a racer back top from river island , with the skull made up of colourful flowers. Im not a big lover of skulls but with flowers, i can handle.

Trench jacket thrown over and a red tartan bag,layered bracelets and a big necklace.
The day wasn't too bad..... as usual with tag days lessons aren't as productive as normal.
I arrived home to two parcels with my beautiful bargains, ill show you guys soon over the weekend. Have fun and stay dry in this yucky weather :)

After a visit from my grandparents , my mum and me went off shopping just for a look and a few bits .
Opting for a a tights , dress and trench look, something simple for shopping but with a main focus.

Okay so we went into Primark to nose around and i picked up a pair of boots and low heels , ill post about them in due course probably at the weekend . Passing the Pajama section i spotted something.... a little..... insane ? yes its insane . Ive always wanted a all in one baby grow for lounging around in when its cold , i spotted this an wanted it instantly, hesitated because its a little odd and then was like ' mehhh.. stuff it, i want it'.At £8 i could hardly resist :p.

Natures Understanding

The alarm clock went off at 6 this morning as i dashed off down the stairs for a shower to be ready and dressed for 7.50 on the dot to walk out the house. Ive been so excited about the Jimmy Choo for H&M launch for months and months, i chose a comfortable but polished outfit, dark indigo boot cut jeans , blue jazz pumps and white tshirt , Tommy Hilfiger jacket and a pearl bow necklace. Perfect i thought for standing in a queue eagerly awaiting for the doors to open.

I feel like a journalist in this outfit ^^, simple but... it has a little something. You wont usually see me in jeans, Its probably the one clothing item i tend to neglect.

So we strolled into Blue water at 8:20 and the queue was devastatingly long, to be honest my heart sank as I knew the chances were slim. Standing waiting we overheard one of the 'crowd control 'wardens saying that a group of girls has been camping there since 10. 30 last night. Eventually a H&M representative shuffled along telling everyone that the it may be possible to shop the remainder of the collection at 11.45 but the chances were very very slim of actually getting anything. This sounds dramatic but it was heartbreaking to know that after months of anticipation i wasn't even going to get a glimpse of a heel. So after careful thought we went home. I didnt want to admit defeat and maybe lose out, but waiting for a 0.5 % chance just isnt realistic.

As the doors to the car park opened the heavens just burst , and thunderstorm broke out. Almost as if the weather felt as bad as I did , ahah silly but it felt like it at the time.

Now Im just wallowing in disappointment , but on a plus side I finally watched 500 Days Of Summer , which I must say might just be one of my favorite films of all time <3

Tea delights

I was not blessed with beautiful skin, and in the midst of the teenage years i have blemish prone skin. I ve been doing what i can and it seemed to be working but hmm.. i wanted something abit more and i started Google-ing acne supplements and i stumbled across a few natural websites that offered rather expensive herbal tea and tonics, i was all set to buy a £17.00 bottle of the stuff !!
But after browsing the tea isle in Tesco's i found this beauty for a mere £1.99

What fist caught my eye was the cute pacakging but upon closer inspection i was dazzled.

The box contains 20 tea bags each individually wrapped in cute paper envelopes.

Im ' coo-ing' and awwww'ing at the packaging each envelope shaped ta bag, has a string with a small hand arrow attached at the end ^^.

Well okay to the more import information the ingredients ;
Red clover - detoxifies and has been said to boost fertility :s
Nettle levels - acne fighting ingredient
Dandelion leaves - inflammation fighter
Burdock root - the magical key ingredient in the fight against the enemy
chamomile- calming and soothing - yummy flavoring
lemon balm
lemon peel
natural lemon flavor- for good measure

I have noticed that after drinking the refreshing tea for a week a reduction in new lurkers and it seems to have lessened the redness . The tea is lovely to drink in the evening or morning and if it works then WOOH bonus points. It shall be on my shopping list from now until forever , its not a miracle cure but it helps fight the internal battle and detoxifies the body .

I would recommend giving it a go.... you've not nothing to lose from it and hey it tastes nice at the end of the day.

The Navajo want their child back

This is the dress , the item I'm sure everyone has in the back of the wardrobe..... not willing to through it away but hmmm not entirely keen on. Well today i took it out and dusted it down for the fireworks party at my uncles house. Guy forks night was on Thursday but it was kind of inconvenient for everyone so we had it today. Paired with thick grey tights just like the ones i wore as a child and a warmer v-neck tshirt underneath.i Later threw on a grey granddad cardigan and a Mac { as my grandma would say}

Now i must confess I'm a little.... ahem... scared of pattern? shall we say. Its not something i own alot of but I'm trying to broaden the wardrobe horizons,
Ive been borrowing my mums SLR rather alot lately and have decided its high time i 'asked' eeheh for my own. The pictures today were taken indoors as it was dark and meh.. outside set up on a tripod but it was so much easier than trying to explain to my mum how i want the angle to be etc etc , just need to figure out the settings and we should be away.

My birthdays in January so i still have a time to look but I'm looking at a sony cyber-shot,
have you got any suggestions for very nice digital cameras with a lens but not quite SLR prices ?

WOOOOHHHH !!! today is Halloween as im sure you all know ;)
Todays plans are to laze around and have fun this morning... my bestfriend [ i call her my wife so i shall carry on from here on , but we're best friends ;)] is comming over to stay so we'll lounge around and eat sweets until 4 .45 ,then we'll dash off to the cinema.
A friend of my wife invited us to hang out with his friends tonight at the cinema..... ive never met any of them , but ive been told not to get my hopes up as none of them are boyfriend material ahah but we shall see :p

I hadnt planned an costume.. as there isnt a wild party to go to , sadly my life isnt that interesting, but i felt the need to dress up so like many other bloggers have been , i ransacked the wardrobe of mystery to see if something could be pulled together ,

Please excuse the webcam photos my mum has her SLR with her at a friends for their party tonight.
The outfit consists of my favorite shirt dress from H&M last year, its my favorite thing to throw on for any occasion. Paired with black shorts, braces, kneehigh socks and a cropped jacket.

I really love the outfit but hm...... im not keen on the shirt tucked in, so out it comes and i slipped the braces under my shorts clipped onto the top of the socks to hold them up, and well...... for the Feminine-ness of it.

Ehehe ready to go with my basket full of sweets, the black disk proped on top of my head.. its actually a dairylea cheese triangles box covered in felt to make a small hat, Its something my mum came up with ,her cheese box has a veil and a large spider on top but ive kept mine plain for now. i think its Genious ! , maybe a D.I.Y comming soon to show you how to make it,

AHAHA i couldnt help myself, halloween is the perfect time to be as creative/ weird as you want and no one bats an eyelid, so of course it called for a mustache

A Forest Wonder

We went out to today to catch a breathe of fresh Autumn air and kick leaves..... and i can safely say plenty were kicked. We [ me and the parents] drove over to Bedgebury Pinetum which is a very pretty forest or a tree museum depending on your opinion, to stroll amongst the trees, stalk squirrels and dance in the leaves
Ahhhhh , aha so many shot were taken in the attempt to get a leaf kicking picture but this is probably about the best.
Well today i think i won maximum style points out of all the visitors but 0% practicality, The rain coat is one of my favorite items from H&M last year , the grey dress also from h&m i dont have many photos of it but it wasnt the main focus of the outfit, finnished of with cream argile socks and boots.

I adore this photo, but feel slightly sorry for the poor tree being squished to death.
Of course no woodland adventure is complete without a picknick and.... um.. a tea cup ? i just couldnt resist thinking of the cute photo opportunities.
Well half term has offically commenced !! woooh , but alas i have alot of coursework to finnish before the deadlines boooo !! I'll try and post as many outfit posts as i can, im never sure what to post on here but i think outfit posts are the way forward with random posts in between.
Tomorrows activities are planned to thift , im a little hmm hmmh m,.., about this as raiding the charity shops isnt as accepted in England but i shall be up at the crack of dawn in an unsuspecting outfit thrifting away. Ive been looking for a few Vintage suitcases for a while now so i shall keep a beady eye on the look out,

Dinner With The Duchess

This afternoon i dined with the Duchess......

The family assembled at my grandparents this afternoon, it was lovely chatting with everyone over a meal. I've been waiting to wear this dress all week it's the dress I fell in love with at Blue Water last weekend. The dark turquoise chiffon floats and dances as i walk, the button detailing at the top is the main focus, its the easiest dress to wear with very little accessorizing as it speaks for its self. I just pulled my hair back into a neat modern[ less intense] beehive.
I adore this outfit , although my only concern is that i dress ' older ' than my age range. At 15 is it really too much...... but i think... and No not really. Dressing up is something I enjoy and I shouldn't need to conform to the rules.

The weather is perfect at this time of year, a cool chill to the air, bright blue skies with little wind.

WOOH !! counting down the days to the Jimmy Choo for H&M launch..... hmmmm... the first 160 people in the queue recieve a rist band with a time slot to shop. But who every else is left will get to shop the remainder of the collection =[. Camping out side the front door at 4 am may be nesscary :p hahaha

Enchanting Editorial

The D&G winter 09 editorial has to be one of my favorites by far. Each model elegantly seated or standing , styled to reminisce the background or its inhabitants.

The soft rich golden hues of the dress, mimicking an arm chair cushion, pulled in at the waist with a tasseled rope.
The strong face of an empress , slicked back fringe into a tight bun and wine toned lips. I think the thing that draws the eye to this outfit is the way the model is styled to the image on the t-shirt.

Soft velvet, rich silk in jewel tones embellished with rope, buttons and sky high heels.
Out of the whole 'collection' this jacket is gorgeous ! paired with well tailored slim fitting trousers and a simple t shirt.

My favorite piece , by far...

This week was so busy with rehearsals Monday and Tuesday , followed by Tech and dress rehearsals all day Wednesday for the performance of Mcbeth. It soared ! the performance was perfect, no one forgot theyre lines or missed a que !! :O so much for the cursed play......
I played one of the main Witches/hag... a murdered and Mcbeths servant. It was nerve wracking as my first stage procution but as soon as i stepped on stage , i didnt even think of the audience .

A scream , a Giggle, a Whine

All of the girls ventured to Bluewater on Saturday for a friends sixteenth birthday outing, The day was filled with laughter, shopping, Zombie Land and heels. I picked up a dress from Miss Butterfly , which i had previously ignored..... and am now questioning WHY !!!!
Its a commercial chain, but the store is set out like a really cute boutique, with a Giant Bird cade in the middle of the shop, big enough for a human.I shall show you the dress soon .

The outfit was 'very blue' so the red glasses gave it an added touch.
Hmmmm.... very geek- appropriate

Zombie Land was the choice of film , it was good, although i would say the story line isnt the most original.. and reminded me alot of a 'higher budget' Shaun of the dead. In one part of the film a clown stuck his head under a toilet cubicle, it sounds silly but the scene was quiet and then " BAM!' . I screamed at this point..... much to everyones amusement in the cinema.
ehehe..... all i can say is it was my impulse reaction. Great film but a killer for ' jumpy scenes'.

Sorry for the rather 'bleuh' description but i think im going down with the lurgy...

So for G&T [ gifted and talented a target group, top 5% of the school]........ we were given the opportunity to perform Macbeth . Each school has a different Shakespeare play. Im a Witch / Hag :P , murder and Seaton =] .

Hm.. the point to that is that i needed just plain black plimsolls for the performance... off to Primark we go. The other girls mentioned the price being around £4.50 which i was very happy with. But after mooching around... picking up a few pieces i tracked them down and at £ 2.00 !!!!!! i picked up a black and a white pair. They're just simple canvas and rubber soled pumps but there's something quite endearing about the white pair.

But Wo ' Alas....... they couldn't stay plain,

A mixture of sheer light and dark blue ribbon laced with silver ball chain.
The second shoe is a mixture of sheer silver ribbon.. red+green tartan, white looped and a tartan ribbon at the top, finished with a sheer blue ribbon at the bottom.

Now i know that the odd- miss matched ribbon thing would annoy some people, but i like the - Not to styled, contrived and thought about- approach to things.

Ehehe..... i need to go back and pick up half a dozen pair to alter in differnt ways.

NYLON NATION

Browsing through the racks of a local WH Smiths i was astounded to see a copy of nylon, the much hyped American fashion art music.. and well everything cool magazine. The bright colours, artistic design and witty articles stand out from the usual English magazines. After hours of scouring every corner and page i can safely say i shall keep a beedy eye out for the next issue. Hopefully they will start to carry the magazine as the one i picked up is an annuel TV issue, packed full of vampire related interviews. It would be interesting to see what the 'normal' issue contains.

*sigh* Its only tuesday and im wishing for the weekend. Gossip girl starts a new season tomorroe night ^^ WOOOOHHHH !! Blair and Serina Fashion fix can continue, theres something so dainty and charming about blairs style.

Swan Song

Today's weather; sunny with a chill in the air is my favorite, where jeans and a jacket will do, not to hot or too cold. This morning i shopped for a friends birthday present =]. Followed by a lovely stroll in the park with my parents.A simple outfit, of jeans... a t-shirt .. bright blue jazz pumps and the new powder blue blazer. The jazz pumps swapped from heels.
AHAHAAH !! this is what happens when your mum is the photographer..... it ends up with praying mantis impressions. I would just like to take this line of writing to thank my mummy for taking wonderful photos and putting up with my posing :P

WAHEY !! i plucked up the currage to hand feed the swans.... my aversion to germs and nature usually gets in the way, but todays only worry was loosing my fingers. The light in this photo is perfect, ^^.

Baby steps to the world of dreams

At the weekend my mum and i skipped off to go shopping early sunday morning, the best time to go as we had the place peacefully to our selves on the most part.

I picked up a cheap pair of indigo wash jeans for relaxing in,

Looking through the isles of TK Max i spotted this gem and fell head over rolling green sheep filled hills.

My favorite things about the jacket are , the deep mix of grey and heather ,

The soft but defined military styled shoulder.

The label has to come a at the top of the list somewhere, i know no one else can see it but it has such a charm to it.

It was originally £140.00 marked down to £29.99

it would of been rude to resist. :p

Also a pair of very very soft calvin klein tights accidently fell into the basket ;)

But marked down to £4.99 from £16.00 is a nice price.

The knit is medium thickness so ill be my prize pair of winter woolies.

I'm still an excited bunny about the finds, roll on the weekend so i can wear them !

Today was our history trip to poke and wander round castles , in aid of our coursework... but very little was actually written down. Last nights burst of creativity came in the form of fimo, the necklace is simply moulded and then baked, easy peasy.
Specially designed for poesy photos ;p

There's a few ideas, floating around at the moment so i may post a few D.I.Y/... what i've made posts soon.
